Untitled with a Clock Eye

And the time was finally activated. It switched on in your eyes. I saw it when I looked at your face. And then, on your other eye, I saw a reflection of myself. Are your very eyes the ones that show me both the passage of time and my own reflection?

Untitled with a Clock Eye features a mirror and a working clock. Although it’s a recurrent symbol in my oeuvre, this is the first time it appears functioning. The assemblage was created as part of The Rise of the Nonconformists exhibition, an outdoors group showcase in Whitecross Street, London, inspired by the local free-thinking heritage of the area.
