Where are we flying to?
Gigantes 01 is a series of large-scale paintings, ranging from 1 to 5m, which aim to represent the voices of the subconscious. They were produced as the result of cathartic improvisation sessions, exploring what is beneath the surface of mind and body.
These ‘releasing’ acts involved the shedding of unconscious body armour, allowing the internal chaos to take physical form through movement, painting, voice, sound and object interaction. During these moments of action and emotional release the studio becomes a playground, a laboratory of boundless expressive potential.
