Black drops, black drops, black drops… black holes are forming in the ether around us, our feet seem to leave the earth, floating…
Where are we flying to?
Gigantes is an ongoing series of large-scale paintings, ranging from one to five metres. The works emerge from improvised, performative encounters in the studio, where gesture, sound, movement and material come together.
Developed through acts of release and surrender, the paintings trace a process of shedding learned constraints and allowing instinctive forms of expression to surface. Painting, voice, mark-making, bodily movement and interaction with objects become one language.
In these sessions, the studio becomes both playground and testing ground: a space in which emotion, intuition and physical action converge, and where the boundaries between performance and painting dissolve.
